Megan DeDoncker is a Senior Associate at CTM Legal Group. Megan brings a wealth of experiences and a deeply personal understanding to the practice of family law as a child of divorce and member of a blended family. From the outset of Megan's career, her focus has been on advocating for individuals and families navigating the emotional and procedural complexities of family law matters.
Megan's journey into family law began during her time as a student attorney at Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa. Having firsthand knowledge of the unique challenges that children of divorce and blended families face, Megan was driven to pursue a career where she could make a difference in the lives of families during difficult times.
Drake University Law School provided Megan with an exceptional foundation, as it is consistently rated as a top school for both family law and practical experience. Upon obtaining her license in 2019, she embarked on her legal career in Iowa and South Dakota where she gained invaluable experience in mid-to-high asset divorces and a range of family law matters, including child support modifications and child custody matters. During this time, Megan had the privilege of assisting at all levels of cases, including second-chairing trials involving complex parenting and financial issues.
Since joining CTM Legal Group in 2021, Megan has continued to expand her practice and expand her expertise in family law. Megan's areas of focus include child support, parentage, modifications of parenting plans, college tuition cases, issues involving the Department of Children and Family Services (including Appeals), contested guardianship matters, and more.
Megan has ample experience in seeing cases through from beginning to end, whether the end is a contested hearing or settlement agreement. Megan's philosophy in her practice of family law is that every case is unique and requires a customized case strategy. Megan works closely with every client to develop a case strategy that is designed to produce the desired case outcome.
