Amanda Mitchell is a Senior Associate at CTM Legal Group. Amanda has extensive experience handling U.S. immigration matters, including employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant petitions, family-based immigration, citizenship and naturalization, and U.S. inadmissibility issues. She determines effective immigration strategies and provides legal guidance to investors, multinational corporations, small businesses, and individuals, regardless of circumstance or complication.
Her unwavering commitment to the practice of immigration law enables her to effectively advocate for her clients and help them achieve their immigration goals. With a genuine desire to make a positive impact, Amanda works industriously to protect the rights and interests of immigrants by offering personalized attention and support at every step of the process.
Prior to practicing immigration law, Amanda worked as a defense litigator in New York, representing commercial companies, real estate management companies, municipal entities, and major insurance carriers. Alongside her work as a litigator, Amanda has assisted with an assortment of legal matters for a developing entrepreneurial musical theatre company.
Amanda obtained her LL.B. (Hons) Law Degree from Cardiff University Law School, UK. She went on to receive her Postgraduate Legal Practice Course with distinction from The University of Law, UK. Amanda is a member of the New York State Bar, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and the Law Society of Ontario, and is a licensed Foreign Legal Consultant in the province of Ontario.
Through First Generation Network, Amanda mentors first-year law students currently enrolled at the University of Toronto and Ottawa. She is also a mentor to NCA students who have recently immigrated and are working towards becoming lawyers themselves.
