CTM Legal Group Joins Colleagues from Around the World at ABL’s 51st Conference in Mexico City
CTM Legal Group was proud to attend the 51st Conference of the Alliance of Business Lawyers (ABL), held October 21–24, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Mexico City in the Polanco neighborhood. Just months after ABL marked its 50th conference in Vienna, members gathered again, this time in one of the most vibrant cities in the Americas.
A Conference Hosted in Mexico City
This edition was hosted by ABL member firm Dayston Consultores, with legal AI platform Harvey serving as Platinum Sponsor. Lawyers and business leaders from member firms across the network came together for several days of discussion, collaboration, and connection.
Timely Topics for a Changing Legal World
The conference program focused on issues shaping the practice of law today. The keynote was delivered by Eric O'Neill, a former FBI counterintelligence operative and a leading voice on cybersecurity, fraud, and corporate espionage. His remarks set the stage for discussions on AI-generated fraud and emerging threats, a growing concern for businesses and the attorneys who advise them.
Additional sessions covered:
- ESG, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility
- Politics, geopolitics, and global affairs
- The future of the hourly billing model
- Hiring and management challenges facing law firms
- Marketing for law firms
This year also introduced member-led discussion panels, giving attorneys from across the network a chance to share their own experience and shape the conversation directly.
Reconnecting with Colleagues Worldwide
As valuable as the sessions were, the heart of every ABL conference is the people. Between sessions, members reconnected over dinners and explored Mexico City's history and culture, including a tour of the historic city center, the National Museum of Anthropology, and the Teotihuacan Pyramids.
These relationships matter. When a CTM client faces a legal issue in another country, we can turn to ABL colleagues we know personally and trust, so our clients get coordinated, reliable counsel wherever their needs arise.
Thank You
We extend our thanks to Dayston Consultores for hosting, to Harvey for its sponsorship, and to all of the speakers and members who made the 51st conference a success. We look forward to the next gathering.
