CHICAGO, Ill. — CTM Legal Group helped a client obtain government security clearance needed for their job, despite an initial denial related to their mental health history.
CTM Partner Sabreena El-Amin advocated for the client through a lengthy process including an intense hearing. Despite the client's nerves, with El-Amin's thorough preparation and mitigation arguments, the client ultimately prevailed.
The administrative law judge recently ruled in the client's favor, determining they had successfully mitigated any potential concerns over their suitability for clearance.
"I was honored to fight for this client who personified resilience," El-Amin said. "They worked so hard to improve their circumstances, and this clearance decision validates those efforts while opening new doors."
This recent victory spotlights CTM Legal Group's experience guiding clients through complex government processes that can be extremely one-sided and cold. The firm gets to know their clients' unique personal histories to mount defenses and seek resolution tailored to the client's situation.
"We're elated anytime we can help reinstate someone's access to career opportunities," said managing partner Bill Tasch. "This ruling exemplifies our commitment to giving applicants vigorous representation so past challenges don't forever define their future prospects."
